Nigeria will move forward without bitterness and hate speeches -Methodist prelate
Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Chukwuemeka Kalu Uche, has called on Nigerians to shun hate speeches and enthinicity if the country would move forward .
This was made recently during investiture of Archbishop and Induction, Investiture of Archdiocesan Lay President And Diocesan Lay Presidents
The prelate said Nigeria would be good to live if we live in peace and harmony irespective of tribe,race colour and culture.Uche in a chat with pressmen in Methodist church of the Trinity Tinubu, Lagos, said we could build a nation where peace and unity would be experienced if we would stop fighting each other :”We don’t love ourselves as we keep malice among ourselves . I
In building a nation we must love ourselves preach peace and unity and stop all forms of hate speeches.”Our love for each other should not be by ethnic identities or competing with one group or the other.we should work with one mind and love for each other.” We should not resort to hate speech even if we don’t get what we are agitating for..
We should not vent our frustrations on other groups. At this point, let the love for one another be strong as Nigeria will be good if we cooperate with each other”.
The Bishop, Diocese of Umuahia East, Rt.Rev.Godfrey Agupusi, who give the sermon urged the followers of christ to always abide in the word of God .
He said the word of God is the authority to his followers, it is agent of change that destroy every work of darkness in the life of his children in the world.
” No power can compel with his words, it is only weapon giving to his children so let us stand on it”.
