RRS Police Fish Out Hidden Criminals In Ketu Area Of Lagos
The robbers attack One Alhaja 58 years old at Ketu bus stop on the night of new year eve immediately she alighted from a tricycle as she was about to board a bus to ikorodu and disposes her of her personal belongings worth over N750.000,00 seven hundred and fifty thousand.
Security Monitor gathered that the suspects allegedly accosted the victim, around Ketu Bus Stop after she just alighted from a tricycle, at about 9:00 p.m. and dispossessed her of $800, 400 Qatari Riyald, N45,000,America Visa card, pouch containing gold trinkets valued at N110,000:00, a purse with unspecified amount and an Hawaii phone.
According to the victim, ‘I boarded a tricycle going to Ketu Bus Stop after crossing from Motorways as i was going back to Ikorodu after visiting my children on the night new year eve, as i was about to cross the bridge to the other side of bridge that faced Ikorodu to take another vehicle ,being only passenger that will alight at the last bus stop.‘immediately alighted five young men surrounded me with wielding knife and daggers.
“They collected my phone and hand bag containing $800, 400 Qatari Riyald, N45,000, America Visa card, pouch containing gold trinkets valued at N110,000:00 and a purse with unspecified amount”she stated.
According to the victim the annoying part is that the criminal is using my line my line to call my husband demanding for N25,000 brfore my phone will be released before I block the line and reported the case at Ketu Police Station and it was referred to RRS.
Nemesis caught up with the suspects on Wednesday at Ikosi Road, Ketu when operatives of Rapid Response Squads team arrested five gangs member of armed robber .The suspectd are Shola Oyedele, Adejuwon Adeniyi, Alex Ikoku, Salau Damilola and Mohammed Muritala .
It was when Alhaja was invited if she identify any of them that rob her on the night new year eve, she now identify one of them, who gave his name as Shola.
The suspect confess to police that the gang leader who initiate the robbery was one Sikiru (aka Hauwa), who is on the run.
Meanwhile according to a source the victim mobile phone was to one Michael Ogunnaike who took the police to the suspect’s hideout in Ketu area,
Which about 13 suspects were reported to have been arrested in the hideout but five was said to have been indicted to Shola gang member
Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti has confirm the arrest and stated that no criminal would go score free as far as Lagos state is concern saying that the Commissioner for Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal had ordered that the case be transferred to FSARS for further investigations and arrest of those connected with the case.
