KWARA DSS PARADES 6 FAKE CERTIFICATES SYNDICATE

The Department of the State Security Service (DSS), Kwara State Command has paraded a six-member fake certificate syndicate in Ilorin.
The suspects are: Abdulmajeed Olaide (principal suspect and now at large), Musilimat Abdulmajeed, Aliu Abdulfatai, Adebimpe Ayodeji,Sikiru Rafiu and Moshood AbdulAfeez.
Parading the suspects, the state Director of DSS in the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Shinkarfi, said they were arrested following a tip-off from the Kwara State Committee on Personnel and Data Base Development, that some fake academic papers were discovered during the ongoing physical verification exercise of the civil servants in the state.

FB_20160422_11_53_54_Saved_PictureShinkarfi said 100 fake certificates of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, were discovered from the suspects.

He said the suspects are syndicate who specialised in the manufacturing of the fake government’s documents with the intent of defrauding the members of the public.

The DSS state Director said fake indigeneship certificates of Ilorin East, Irepodun, Isin Local Governments were also discovered from the suspects.
He said the principal suspect, Abdulmajeed Olaide, had jumped the bail and now at large, and urged residents of the state who have information about the activities of the syndicate to assist his command in the ongoing investigation into the case.

Some of the items allegedly discovered from the suspects included: fake certificates from the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State,while one of it bears name of one Adetokunbo Jubril Omowunuola as a National Diploma holder in Marketing.
Also, the suspects were paraded with the fake certificates belonging to the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kaduna Polytechnic, Osun State Polytechnic, Ire; West African Examination Council, National Youths Service Corps, among others.

A fake certificate of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, reads: FPO/ND/NO 04792, Oyerinde Oyekemi Owowumi, National Diploma in Computer; while a certificate from the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, also reads : OSP/NO 0008634 HND did not bear any name.
