ILORIN SLAIN MTN WORKER HAD PREMONITION OF HER DEATH - COLLEAGUE

The slain female worker of one of the leading mobile telecommunication operators (MTN) who was allegedly stabbed to death in Ilorin, Kwara State by his boyfriend on Monday, had premonition of her death two weeks to her demise, SECURITY MONITOR, has gathered.

The deceased, Oluwatosin Ashiwo, who hailed from Ogun State, this medium learnt on Wednesday, had been cold for two weeks with her changed attitude to all her colleagues at the MTN office located at Bola Saad building on Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin, before her demise.

A colleague of the deceased who spoke with our Correspondent in Ilorin on Wednesday on the condition of anonymity, said the deceased while on a night shift two week ago, was reportedly apprehensive over her boyfriend’s latest antics about her movements.

The source alleged that the deceased during one of the discussions they had accused her boyfriend of tracing her movements and issuing persist threats to her life.
”Late Oluwatosin Ashiwo, who was a Senior member of staff in our office was a very hardworking lady and a friend to all. She didn’t toy with her work.
” She was everywhere and a friend to all her colleagues but about two weeks to her demise, she became cold and her attitude changed to all of us.
“We became worried about her latest countenance because it was not her usual character but during a night shift two weeks ago, she opened up about her boyfriend’s threat to her life and said she was not certain of what becomes her fate should he make good of his threat because he has been threatening to kill her”, the source said.

It will be recalled that the suspect, who is still at large and whose identity remains unknown allegedly attempted to also kill his girlfriend’s mother as a cover up.
Contrary to the speculation about the death of the female MTN worker, this medium gathered that her suspected killer locked up her in a room after she breathed her last.
A resident of the area, who did not want his name in the media, alleged that the suspected assailant attempted to slaughter his late girlfriend’s mother having discovered that she knew he had killed her daughter.

The source said that the suspect escaped the scene of the incident thinking that he had murdered the only witness to the crime.

THE STRAINED RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DUO

Our correspondent learnt that the deceased and his lover, who many of her colleagues believed was her man-friend, were having a strained relationship prior to her demise.
One of the deceased’s colleagues told this medium that since she reunited with her Kaduna-based Military lover, the suspect had been mounting pressure on her to accede to his marriage proposal but she reportedly refused on the premises that he is order than her.
Another version of the story alleged that the deceased had turned the suspect to a money-making machine and despite that refused his marriage proposal.
Some of the deceased’s colleagues alleged that she recently collected some huge amount of money from the suspect and despite that refused his proposal and advanced various reasons to justify her action.

THE LADY OLUWATOSIN ASHIWO

The deceased, who was a leader of Team 21 at her office, hailed from Ogun State. She started her career with the company in Kano but was transferred to Kwara State on January 11, 2016 from Kaduna State.
