Gov. Wike Deserves Commendations For Keeping To Election Promises – Bro Obuah
The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State chapter, Bro Felix Obuah says the State Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike deserves a pat on the back for keeping to his election promises to place the State above self in his administration.
The State PDP chairman said the track record of achievements of the Wike administration under one year is amazing and shows that given all the necessary support all the losses suffered in the previous years will be recovered before he completes his tenure.
Worthy of note, Bro Obuah stressed, are the myriad of road projects constructed and rehabilitated across the State besides other landmarks some of which had been politicized and turned into election campaign projects by previous governments until Wike’s assumption of office on May 29, 2015.
Such roads according to the State PDP chairman include the Sakpenwa – Bori – Kono Road, Ogoni that has just been flagged off for dualization by Gov Wike to appreciate the meaningful contributions of the Ogoni people and other Rivers people living along that axis to the State economy.
Describing it as the beginning of the efforts of the PDP-led government to open up a vista of opportunities to the great people of Ogoni and the entire Rivers South-East, Bro Obuah enjoined the people to take advantage of the kind gestures of the governor to key into the programme of rural development by ensuring that the required peaceful and friendly environment for sustainable development is created.
The State PDP chairman promised that the giant footprints of the Wike administration will traverse the length and breadth of the State, and appealed for patience and prayers for the government.
Congratulating Gov Wike for his efforts, Bro Obuah gladly noted that laying this kind of foundation for quality leadership is what Democracy is all about, and expressed the joy and felicitations of the members and leadership of the PDP in the State to the Governor as the Nation marks yet another Democracy Day
