Yahoo Data Breach: An Important Message to FIDELITY Bank Customers
Recently Yahoo Inc. confirmed a massive cyber security breach on its network which impacted over five hundred million users.
Based on the ongoing investigation, Yahoo believes that personal information associated with these email accounts were compromised.
On the current implementation of our Online Banking platform, the system typically sends the reset password of a banking customer to his personal email address (Yahoo, GMail, Hotmail, etc.) registered with the Bank.
Therefore, FIDELITY Bank advise it esteemed customers who have Yahoo accounts to change their security details (Passwords) to avoid compromise of their accounts while using the Bank’s Online Banking platform.
Of course, compromise of personal email account could lead to unauthorized access to customer’s Online Banking profile
