Winners Emerge in Ebonyi State 2017 U-15 COPA/Coca-Cola Football Tournament

The community secondary School Idobrogbori wins Ebonyi state 2017 COPA Coca-Cola football competition by 2-0 against Holyghost secondary school. The competition which kicked off last two weeks with a total number of 57 schools in the state brings 8 schools to quarter finals with Community secondary  school Idobrogbori and Holyghost Secondary school slugging it out at the final. The competition which is tailored towards grassroots talent hunt was sponsored by Coca-Cola with a mindset of discovering these talents and therefore  nurture them with a full scholarship to further their career in sport.

The state coordinator of the competition Dr.Boniface  Uwofia acknowledged the tireless effort of Coca-Cola in organizing and make the competition a success. He furthered appreciate the company,  saying “we give gratitude to Coca-Cola for their commitment at giving back to the society” stressing that  “what they have done is a discharge of social responsible. I also appreciate the governor of the state His Excellency Engr.David Omaihi for his concern and total dedication to sporting activities in the state”, he said.

The commissioner for education Dr.John Ike encourages the winning team to work harder as to come top at the next segment of the competition starting from the 5th of June in Owerri.

In response, the Coca-Cola spokesperson expresses gratitude to the state government for the enabling environment to executive intentions of the company in other to better the lives of future leaders and to harness hiding talents who are designed to fill the loopholes at the top level of such tournament in no distance time.
