Is Remi Adiukwu Returning To The APC?

Findings reveal that one of the great mobilizer of the opposition PDP in Lagos, Chief (Mrs) Remi Adiukwu may be nursing the ambition of returning to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Though, the coast is not clear but Adiukwu’s ‘alleged’ romance with Tinubu’s political camp speaks volume of what to expect in the next couple of days. A strong political figure and women leader, Adiukwu has been hobnobbing with Governor Rauph Aregbesola of Osun State, the move that analysts posit as a bridge to finally join Tinubu’s political family. Governor Aregbesola is undoubtedly an unalloyed loyalist of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leader. Therefore, Adiukwu’s frequent presence at series of events attended by the Osun state governor especially Aregbesola’s presence at her family event held in Lagos recently was seen as a final arrangement to reconnect Adiukwu with the progressives.

A move that many people described as an attempt to pledge her loyalty to the APC arrow head was her recent outbursts in defense of Tinubu against some APC chiefs who taught they could demystify the former governor of Lagos state and the Jagaban of Borgu. Her stance aggravates the tension that the beautiful Remi may be on her way to the ruling party.

The last time the public heard about Chief Adiukwu was her attempt to become the governor of Lagos State under the then Action Congress, AC. But the dogged politician seems to be strategizing for a future political adventure as she’s currently reaching out to the remaining members of her Crystal Alliance Group within the APC.

If truly politics can be calculated like arithmetic then, Adiukwu is certainly up for something new. Will she be deserting the umbrella family and pitch tent with the broom politicians?
