Anioma Youths Urge APC Guber Pry Appeal Committee To Be Fair To All

The responsibility to adjudicate is best left in the hands of those
bred within the parameters of legal intuition and fundamental human
rights of existence. It is on this note that progressive thinking
Youths under the auspices of Anioma Youths For Good Governance, AYGG
express their confidence and applaud the Appointment of The All
Progressives Congress (APC) Appeal Panel for the Just concluded
Gubernatorial and Legislative Primaries across the Federation.
In strict assessment of the committee as Constituted, we observe that
its leadership falls into the category of an ideal fit, considering
that it is headed by a legal luminary, an academic of high standing
and a tested administrator in person of His Excellency Prof Osariemen
Osunbor.
As a people governed by interests, we must make it a point of duty to
ensure that our dealings do not negatively impact on the larger
society, and to this end, we have effectively taken a stand to always
advocate for issues that will help the cause of good governance,
irrespective of our vary degree of interests.
Anioma Youths for Good Governance, is a group that advocates the cause
of youths of Delta North Senatorial District, and by extension the
Anioma nation all over the world. We bring to your notice the concerns
of our Leaders and Forbearers in this 2019 electoral period within the
APC, Rt Hon Victor Ochei Esq and Prof Patrick Utomi – participants in
the recently conducted controversy riddled and rancorous Delta State
gubernatorial Primaries, who have since Sunday 30th September, 2018
continually expressed their grievances and perceived disenchantment
with the process.
In the spirit of equity, justice and fairness, we urge that the
Osariemen Osunbor led Appeal Panel, critically considers the issues of
discrepancies, anomalies, unethical practices etc that will be raised
and take appropriate action without fear or favour.
We don’t doubt the ability of the committee to stand on its  own, free
from external influences and subject only to the tenets of Justice and
Right standing with the law and logical reasoning. Similarly, we like
to emphasize that with the turn of events in recent times in the APC,
the committee represents the party’s route to peaceful and fortuitous
existence.
However,  we have  noted with concern the number of States where the
outcome of Primaries at all levels are being contested and in need of
the attention of the  panel, and have observed that a 5 member appeal
committee seems grossly inadequate to attend to all the issues that
have enveloped the Primaries in nearly all the States of the
Federation. We therefore, suggest that  sub-committees per state be
inaugurated to enable the assignment of the appeal committee to be
thoroughly executed and timely, since the whole process is limited by
the timeframe within which parties are to fill their Candidate to
INEC.
We urge that the right thing be done in order to create a sense of
belonging and brotherhood beyond partizan  lines.
