Laywer Ezem, Surety To Fidelity Bank MD Arrested
EFCC arrested barrister Chris Ezem who stood surety for the embattled managing director of Fedelity bank Nnamdi Okonkwo.
The anti graft agency took the drastic decision due to the failure of Okonkwo to honour administrative bail granted to him by the commission.
According to the insider within EFCC who spoke to SECURITY MONITOR anonymously said that EFCC decide to take the drastic decision because Okonkwo has jumped the administrative bail granted to him by the EFCC.
It will be recalled that EFCC have filed 14 counts charge against the Bank chiefs including former executive director of First Bank Dauda Lawal who recently relinquish his post in the Bank to pursue gubanitotial in Zamfara state.
In the charge, the EFCC alleges the three bank cheifs of concealing the sum of $153.3m in their bank for former petroleum minister Diezani Alison Maduekwe who is said to be at large.
