Breaking News: Again!Judge Disqualified Himself In Paul Usoro SAN N1.8B Alleged Fraud

Justice Chuka Obiozor of Federal High Court Lagos earlier Thursday morning disqualified himself from handling the N1.8bn alleged fraud. Nigerian anti graft agency had filed a 10-count charge against Usoro, over allegations relating to converting to personal use, concealing the source of, disguising the origin of and retaining in his account sums of money to the tune of billions of Naira belonging to the Akwa Ibom State government.

The criminal charge was preferred against the embattled president of Nigeria Bar Association, Mr Paul Usoro SAN who was drag to court last year by the economic and financial crime commission EFCC.

This is the second time the case file is being returned by the assigned judge over personal reason. Last year, when Mr Usoro was charged, Justice Muslim Hassan recused himself from the trial and returned the case file for reassignment

The judge made the shocking pronouncement at the resume of proceedings today when Uzoro was supposed to be rearranged before the judge.

” For personal reasons I hereby disqualify myself from handling the case for personal reasons. I hereby return this filed back to the chief judge of Federal high court for reassignment.
