WAR IN PDP AS CHRIS UBAH, OTHERS DARE PETER OBI

As the Anambra State governship primary of the People’s Democratic Party PDP draws closer, stakeholders of the party in Anambra State have concluded plans to make sure that all aspirants that paid money running into hundreds of millions to Chief Peter Obi losses the primaries. The party frowns at the cash and carry mentality of Peter Obi which negates the principal PDP as a national party is known for.

The Stakeholders of PDP in Anambra State are worried by the heavy allegations of bribery for the party ticket against Peter Obi. Among the proved allegations are Senator Uche Ekwunife’s payment of one hundred million (100M) naira to Peter Obi with a promise to pay a balance of four hundred million 400M naira as soon as the governship ticket is given to her and Dr. Godwin Maduka’s five hundred million (500M) naira payment who also promised to pay another five hundred million after the primary. Other aspirants paid various amounts of money running into hundreds of millions to Peter Obi.

Reacting to all these challenges, Dr. Chris Eselu Ubah dares Peter Obi and all the aspirants who paid money to him. He warned them to stir clear of the party because PDP is not a cash and carry political party. Eselu who said this at the weekend in a stakeholders meeting of the party questions the rationale behind the sidelining of the party Stakeholders by Peter Obi. As a BOT member of PDP, I am the highest ranking member of the party in anambra state and asuch should be the one to coordinates and moderates events in the party he said. He also commends some of the aspirants who refused to be intimidated into paying money to Peter Obi.

The stakeholders resolved to henceforth take charge of what is happening within the party. The condemn the one-man-show local government tour of Peter Obi and faults his only-me-can-do-it attitude which has impoverished the party for many years in the state

It will be recalled that Senator Uche Ekwunife had accused Dr. Godwin Maduka of been a foreigner in Anambra State. Such accusations are the products of Peter Obi divide and rule antics. The coming days will indeed be interesting as PDP stakeholders fights for the soul of the party.
