Army Build Bakery, Water Factories, Train 64 Adamawa State Residents on Entrepreneur

It was a colourful occasion on Friday 27th May 2022 as the Nigeria Army, in a move towards security of food and job as the Nigeria Army built food factories and empower more youthful Nigerians  Adamawa state.

the Special Guest of Honour, First lady of Adamawa State, Her Excellence Hajiya Lami Ahamdu Fitiri, Accompany by NAOWA Regional Coordinator 3 Division Chapters Mrs Hauwa S. Ali in commissioning of the Bakery and Pure water factory at 23 Brigade NAOWA ESAC Gibson Jalo cantonment Yola respectively.

The empowerment training programme carried out at the Centre spans through the duration of 3 months, depending on the area of specialization. However, the coordinator ( Chief host) Mrs. Fauziyat Mahammad Garba, NAOWA Coordinator Adamawa State chapter gave words of advice to the participants, it grateful to note that the Center has graduated 5 sets of trainees from the date of establishment.
However, the Brief was handled by the Entrepreneurship Skill and Acquisition Centre Secretary, Hajiya Amina Shambo,
Said 23 Brigade ESAC has total number of 64 participants whereby 50 are from the Gombi/Hong Constituency in Adamawa state which they were sponsored by Present Hon in Federal House of representatives in Abuja. Hon, Yusuf Buba (Capt) and 14 participants from Nigerian Army Barracks and the environs. The participants commenced the second quarter training on 1st March – 27th May 2022. It is pertinent to note that the third quarter training is scheduled for 14th June – 16th September 2022. The training will focus on the following departments Computer studies/ICT, Hair Dressing, Tailoring, Knitting, Barbing, Make Up artist, Bakery, pure water processing unit, Catering Services, Beads, Bags, and Shoe Making.

The NAOWA Regional Coordinator Mrs Hauwa S. Ali also addressed the widows within the cantonment that the Army authority take welfare as top priority and as such welfare is not for only serving soldiers but include decease personnel, she mention but a few: Burial Expenses, NAWIS/BEN Funds, Death Gratuity, Children sponsorship to school and Group life assurance. Consequently, she asked them to liaise with their late husband Unit in other to gain access to these benefits. After felicitated with them she also donated some relief materials and urged them to enroll in the skill acquisition center
The programme was graced by senior military officers, civil directors, Nigerian Army Officers Wife Association (NAOWA) Nigerian AirForce Officers Wife Association(NAFOWA) and Police Officers Wife Association(POWA) Coordinators Adamawa Chapter, Head of finance in Federal Appeal court,Mr Yola, Ibrahim Aluko, top businessmen and women.

However, the NAOWA national president Mrs. Salamatu F. Yahaya and General Officer Commanding (GOC) Maj Gen IS Ali sent their goodwill massages and vote of thanks which was convened by the assistance coordinator ESAC (BEO) Major Lukman Kayode Badmus
