EFCC, NTA COLLABORATE IN FIGHTING CORRUPTION

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede has described the fight against corruption as a fight that cannot be won by the Commission alone stressing that there is need for collaboration among all stakeholders.

He stated this on Tuesday, January 20, 20024 when the management of Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, represented by the General Managers of the specialized stations namely, NTA Hausa, NTA Yoruba, NTA Igbo, NTA Entertainment and NTA Knowledge paid a courtesy visit to the Commission to introduce the concept of indigenous language programmes of the Station to the Commission .

According to the Chairman who was represented by the Secretary to the Commission, Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda, the mandate of the Commission is to fight corruption through prevention, enforcement and coordination.

As we all know, prevention is better than cure.

Our prevention efforts include intelligence gathering to prevent corruption.
