Let’s Fight Internet Fraud Together ‘, EFCC Charges NANS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // In a bid to end internet fraud, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has charged the National Association of Nigeria Students to partner with the Commission in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
He made this call recently in Benin-City, Edo State when he hosted executives of NANS, Joint Campus Council, Edo State Chapter at the Benin Zonal Command of the Commission.
Olukoyede who spoke through the Benin Zonal commander, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE1Kanu Idagu, urged the students leaders to see themselves as important stakeholders in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
The Chairman said as a students leaders, you are expected to be role models in conduct, character, integrity and accountability.
He tasked the leaders to continually discourage their fellow students from indulging in internet crimes, maintaining that there is no virtue in get-rich-quick syndrome driving many youths into the crime.
