By Wale Abideen/LAGOS// The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, UNODC has continually shown its commitment to a drug free society. With UNODC numerous youths inclusive programs, more youths may disengage from the act of drugs and crime in the years ahead.

According to Chioma Ekene-Ugwu UNODC Communications Officer in Nigeria: ‘No more initiatives for the youth without the youth in the lead”. This is one of our mantras for 2024 and has reflected in much of the activities we executed in February’.

Chioma added that from hosting an X (formerly Twitter) space on career opportunities at UNODC to announcing a digital campaign tagged #BeWildForNature across social media platforms, we believe in the power of young Nigerians in tackling issues of drug abuse, corruption and crime, etc.
