LAMATA VISITS WOMAN WHO GAVE BIRTH ON BRT BUS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority officials recently paid a visit to Mrs. Kubura Oluyemo, a woman who gave birth on a BRT bus while traveling from Ikorodu to TBS on Wednesday, April 3.
LAMATA shared the heartwarming news on their official social media platform the following day.
The post highlighted the compassionate gesture of the LAMATA officials, headed by Mr. Adepoju Fowokan, the Head of BRT Operations, who visited the new mother.
Mrs. Oluyemo delivered a baby girl named Dayan on the bus and mentioned that a nurse onboard assisted her during the birth.
During the visit, Mr. Fowokan, accompanied by the Terminal Controller for Agege station, Mr. Sarumi Sheriff, presented gifts to the Oluyemo family on behalf of the LAMATA Managing Director, Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo.
The gifts included a preloaded Cowry card and a cash contribution.
Mr. and Mrs. Oluyemo expressed their gratitude to LAMATA and the Lagos State Government for their generous support and care during this memorable event.
