COALITION OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS ON SECURITY AND SAFETY AFFAIRS CONDEMNS UNLAWFUL ARREST AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS BY NIGERIAN ARMY
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security and Safety Affairs Condemns Unlawful Arrest and False Accusations by Nigerian Army
The Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security and Safety Affairs CONYSSA is set to hold a world press conference to address the alarming issue of the Nigerian Army’s recent actions in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a blatant disregard for justice and human rights, the Nigerian Army has unlawfully arrested and falsely accused members of a volunteer youth body in Ibadan and labeled them as Yoruba Nation separatists.
These actions not only violate the rights of these individuals but also undermine the principles of justice and fairness that are fundamental to our society.
CONYSSA strongly condemns these actions and demands the immediate release of the unlawfully detained individuals.
We give the Nigerian Army a 24-hour ultimatum to release them.
Failure to comply will result in peaceful protests organized by the youth body against the Nigerian Army.
As a coalition dedicated to promoting security and safety for all Nigerians, CONYSSA will not stand idly by while such injustices occur.
We call on the Nigerian government to uphold the rule of law and ensure that justice is served in this matter.
The world press conference will take place at 9:00AM on 22nd of April at CONYSSA National Head Office.
Members of the media, civil society organizations, and concerned citizens are invited to attend and show their support for justice and human rights in Nigeria.
