My 2024 Birthday Diary By Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim
In a surprise birthday launch, hosted at the ancient Circulo Delicio, the oldest private club in Spain, established in 1847, business partners of Gbenga Olawepo Hashim was presented a personal letter of legendary South African leader, Nelson Mandela purchased at an Auction in Europe to him as a birthday gift.
I woke up with a private worship to God at 5:00 a.m, and an online worship coordinated by Mama Oreva and the Covenant Altar of Worship team at 7:30a.m From Nigeria time in Abuja.
My mum sent her prayers, so also were my children, my sisters, brothers, in-laws, friends, bankers, lawyers, political associates and online followers.
In Barcelona, I had lunch with Vincent Geuneau (my French Business Partner), Mrs Helen Brume, a director at Afrexim Bank, Cairo, and Mrs Begonia Rubo Saiz, Ex Spanish Diplomat and Ex European Commission staffer. Begonia has joined my team as Senior Advisor, Global Cooperation.
Lunch was at Circulo delicio, the oldest private club in Spain. The club was inaugurated in 1847. Maintaining its original setting, it is arguably the most private and exclusive club in Spain.
A twist of history was added to the celebration as Vincent and Peter Hertog (My Deuch Business Partner) presented a personal letter of Nelson Mandela purchased at an Auction in Europe to me.
The duo know Mandela as one of my heroes, and that I had been named Prisoner of Conscience in Africa, three years after Mandela was so named by Amnesty International in 1989.
I also got a valuable note from my daughter, Ifeoluwa, who graduated in England in Law last year, and is currently writing her practice examination.
I am grateful to everyone who sent messages and gifts. God bless you all and all my online followers.
To God be all the Glory!
