Kwarans Mourn Omolosho As Gov Abdulrazaq Hails Ex Radio Kwara GM

By Wale Abydeen// The death of the media friendly scholar and former General Manager of Radio Kwara,  Dr. Rahim Kajogbola Omoloso who died last Friday has been described as a great loss to the humanity especially media and academic environment.

The late Omolosho was not only a media specialist but also a scholar. He was a senior lecturer at the department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilorin. Before then, he was Editor of Herald Newspapers, a publication of Kwara State government.

Governor AbdulRazaq Abdulrahman in his condolence message says the deceased was a perfect gentleman and a decent public servant who served God and humanity, urging the family to take solace in his fine legacies.

Governor Abdulrazaq particularly sympathises with the immediate family of the deceased, the media fraternity in the state, and the Al-Hikmah University.

The Governor asks Allaah to grant Dr. Omoloso al-jannah Firdaus and keep his family upon goodness.

Mallam Yinka Yusuf Erubu, Convener, KWAGA in a telephone conversation told SECURITY MONITOR that “Dr. Omolosho’s demise came to him as a shock. ”indeed, Baba Omolosho’s death is a personal loss to me. This is because the late scholar was my lecturer in University of Ilorin. He was a rare brand when we talk about lecturer/ students relationships. He is a mentor to many of us. We will miss him so y”, Erubu laments.

Until his death, Dr. Omoloso, father of Mr. Musiliudeen Kehinde Omoloso of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), was also an Associate Professor at the Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin.
