ACCIDENTS CLAIMS THREE LIVES, OTHERS INJURIES ON THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // A devastating head-on collision between two Mazda commercial buses occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge near Ilaje, leaving three person dead and eight others severely injured.
The buses were reportedly racing from Adeniji Adele.
Thanks to swift intervention by LASTMA, the injured were rescued and rushed to Gbagada General Hospital.
Police units from Bariga and Alonge provided critical security support.
LASTMA reiterates its commitment to road safety, urging motorists to observe speed limits and drive cautiously.
In a separate incident, a Honda CRV overturned on the same bridge due to excessive speeding, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
LASTMA personnel quickly cleared the wreckage to maintain traffic flow.
