FORMER SENATE PRESIDENT, ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI VINDICATED IN OFFA BANK ROBBERY CASE

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The citizens of Kwarans and Offa have expressed there happiness in the pursuit of justice for the victims of the 2018 Off Bank robbery as a significant milestones.

The Kwara State High Court in Ilorin has pronounced a verdict by sentencing five suspects to death by hanging for their involvement in the heinous crime that claimed 32 lives, including nine policemen.

This verdict brings relief to the people of Offa and Kwarans at large.

Reports shows that the Bank robbery was not only a tragic event but also a politicized one, with unscrupulous individuals falsely accusing Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the former President of the 8th Senate, of masterminding the robbery.

However, today’s ruling vindicates him and his supporters.

In a forensic investigation carried out by disgrace ACP Abba Kyari, it’s crucial to note that one among the suspects had recanted their coerced statements, obtained through torture Mr. Akininibosin, revealed the horrific treatment he endured to force a false confession implicating Dr. Saraki.

To propagandists, beware of spreading false information after this court vindication will have consequences noting that let us remember that justice may be delayed, but it will always trump evil.
