BREAKING: LG COUNCIL CHAIRMAN DIES IN LAGOS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Oladotun Olakanle, the Chairman of the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area LCDA in Lagos State, has passed away at the age of 54, leaving the community in deep mourning.
Known for his dedication to public service and commitment to the development of the Onigbongbo area, Olakanle’s sudden death has come as a shock to many.
According to reports, Olakanle died in the early hours of Saturday. While the exact cause of his passing has not yet been confirmed, sources close to the family indicate that he had been active and in good spirits just days prior.
Notably, Olakanle had attended a funeral event on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in honor of Dr. Adesola Taiwo, a well regarded member of the All Progressives Congress APC.
The funeral was attended by numerous prominent figures from Lagos State and the APC, where Olakanle reportedly paid his last respects to Taiwo, a colleague and friend.
This unexpected nature of Olakanle’s death has left family members, friends, and colleagues in a state of disbelief.
