AWARDS GALORE: BAAMEKO OF IBADAN LAND, OLOYE SAHEED OLADELE RECEIVES 4 HONORS IN EIGHT DAYS

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Oloye Saheed Oladele, a renowned educationist, has been honored with four prestigious awards within an impressive span of eight days.

The accolades began on Friday, 27th day of December, 2024, when Oladele received the Educational Icon of the Year Award from the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ.

While presenting the award, the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes CCII, praised Oladele’s exceptional contributions, highlighting that his appointment as the first Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland demonstrates Ibadan’s ability to recognize excellence.

The following day, Ambassador Dr. Yemi Faronbi presented Oladele with the Visionary Educationist Award on behalf of Pace-Setters Newspaper at the Press Centre, Ibadan.

The publisher, also Chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of NUJ, urged the audience to take note of Oladele’s face, prophesying that he embodies the future of Oyo State.

Speakin earlier on his achievement, Oladele received an Award of Honour from the Federation of Ibarapa Students’ Association FIBSA, in Igbo Ora.

Later that evening, as the guest speaker at the Wesley College of Science Old Students’ Association event, he was bestowed with the Distinguished Personality Award at JOGOR Event Centre.

Oladele expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming recognition, perceiving these awards as motivation to strive for greater excellence.

Adding that he appreciate this massive love and see all these awards as an encouragement to do more.
