NIGERIA UNION OF JOURNALISTS STRENGTHENS TIES WITH ABIA STATE POLICE COMMAND

Today, 17/02/2025 at about 1200hrs, a delegation from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council, led by their Chairman, Comrade Chidi Asonye, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, at the State Headquarters, Umuahia.
During the visit, Comrade Chidi Asonye, the incumbent NUJ President, commended the CP for his efforts in maintaining peace and security in Abia State. He stated that the visit was to formally introduce the new leadership of NUJ, Abia state council and foster a stronger partnership between the council and the police.
The Commissioner of Police, Abia state Command, CP Danladi Isa welcomed the journalists, emphasizing the vital role of the media in promoting transparency and public awareness. He assured them of the command’s commitment in serving the people of Abia state and pledged continued collaboration with the Journalists.
