By Olayiwola Ibrahim // FG and ICRC are accelerating the Dasin Hausa Dam project, stalled since the 1980s, to finally tackle devastating floods from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam.

According to the report , ICRC will be partnering with Mainstream Energy and the Ministry of Water Resources to fast-track the Dasin Hausa Dam under a PPP model.

The Dasin Hausa Dam will generate 300MW electricity, irrigate 150,000 hectares in Adamawa, Taraba & Benue, and safeguard billions in properties from annual flooding.

This development is more than flood control for the affected areas.

This is renewed hope for communities along Taraba, Adamawa, Niger, and Benue basins!
