Tinubu Approves 80% Subsidy on Cost of Kidney Treatment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has announced a 80% subsidy on kidney dialysis session in some federal government owned health institutions.

The government has also approves a N400,000 waiver on treatment expenses incurred on cancer by patients in these hospitals.

The cost of kidney dialysis per season which used to be N50,000 will now cost N12,000 in the following federal government Hospitals due to non availability of dialysis machines in most state government owned hospitals

Among the participating hospitals are;

• Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta,

• Federal Medical Centre, Jabi,

• Federal Medical Centre, Owerri,

• Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta,

• Federal Medical Centre, Azare

• University College Hospital, Ibadan

• University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital

• Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

• University of Benin Teaching Hospital

• University of Calabar Teaching Hospital

• Tafa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi
