The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has officially announced that the new moon has been sighted, marking the end of Ramadan. As a result, Muslims across Nigeria will celebrate Eid-el-Fitr tomorrow.
In his declaration, the Sultan congratulated the Muslim community on completing the holy month of fasting and encouraged them to continue the virtues of patience, generosity, and piety beyond Ramadan.
Muslims are urged to observe the Eid prayers and use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, and development in the nation. The sighting of the moon aligns with global observations, ensuring that the festival is celebrated in unison with other Muslim nations.
