Troops of Operation Lafiya Jamaa Kill 3 Bandits, Destroy Camps in Taraba

The operation, conducted on April 5, 2025, targeted suspected bandits’ hideouts in Achalle and Chibi.

The military operation resulted in the neutralization of 3 bandits, destruction of several makeshift camps used by the criminals, and recovery of arms and ammunition, including 2 motorcycles, 1 AK-47 magazine, and 13 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

There will be no safe haven for terrorists and criminal elements in the state

A thorough combing of the Dutsen Zaki and Achalle axis was also conducted, where over seventy criminal camps have been dismantled in recent weeks.

Commander of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their resilience and tactical success.

He reassured the people of Taraba State that there will be no safe haven for terrorists and criminal elements in the state, urging residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding while continuing their lawful daily activities without fear or intimidations

This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to flush out criminal elements from Taraba State, with significant success observed in recent operations.

The military encourages members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to support ongoing operations and enhance community safety and security.
