Enough of Inter-Ministerial Lies —Speak to Kwarans yourself”- PDP to Gov Abdulrahman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has described today’s Inter-Ministerial Press Briefings of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration as a stage-managed circus of deception anchored by juvenile, inexperienced political appointees who lack both the mandate of the people and the moral competence to speak on governance matters.
We find it utterly disgraceful that since 2019, Governor Abdulrazaq has never deemed it fit to address Kwarans directly. Instead , he has continued to rely on whatsap fabrications, misleading press statements and organized political skit making decorated as press briefing from his media handlers -who themselves lack the technical-know-how on governance and policy making.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary , Olusegun Olusola Adewara, the party described Governor’s action as cowardly, calling on him to take a clue from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who within just two years in office, has twice addressed Nigerians in live television broadcasts, confronting real issues and attempting to own up to the burden of leadership.
“Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq needs to drop this WhatsApp governance model and start showing leadership in flesh and voice as our government house is not a children’s playing ground for absentee leadership. The people deserve to hear directly from the man they elected — not hired propagandists acting out written scripts at carefully stage-managed press events.
Kwarans have not forgotten how the Governor, during the last budget presentation to the House of Assembly, submitted a document filled with fabrications, sectoral lies, and non-existent achievements—an action that led to a weak apology from the government following outcries from the public.
That lie-filled document submitted by Mr Governor was drafted by this same cabinet . A sincere leader would have used that moment as a turning point for accountability.
The PDP warns that the Governor’s continuous absence and reliance on juvenile surrogates is one of the core reasons for the decline in security, economic stagnation, growing public distrust, and the alarming corruption that has become the hallmark of his administration. The party calls on the Governor to speak directly to Kwarans on the true state of affairs- noting that this is what leadership demands.
