CHILDREN’S DAY, CENTRE CELEBRATES CHILDREN OF THE FALLEN HEROES

Today 27th of May 2025, it’s a special day for Children’s day celebration, is established to promote togetherness, and improve their welfare.
The Centre is making a clarion call to celebrates the Children of the Fallen Heroes in the Nigeria military and the Para-military Agencies, a moment to recognize enormous challenges Children of the Fallen Heroes face in our society, by listening to Children, we can fulfill their right to self expression, understand their ideas for a better Nigeria and include their priorities in our action’s today.
Speaking through the Executive Secretary of the Centre for Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Supports Fund (CFWS &FHSF), Mr. Ezekiel Adi, representing the board Chairman, said, We urges Nigerians to help the Children of the Fallen Heroes, the plight of these set of Children is grave because they has lost their bread winners, well-meaning Nigerians and the Federal government, state and local should step in to provide food, clothing, health care, and education to these children of
the Fallen Heroes.
Centre For Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Supports Fund (CFWS FHSF) needs supports to strengthen the program, CHILDREN OF THE FALLEN HEROES SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (CFHSS) that will improve equitable access to learning, leading to reduction in number of children of the Fallen Heroes out-of school, getting out-of school children of the Fallen Heroes back to classroom, a clarion call to support the Centre to reduce the numbers of out-of-school of the Fallen Heroes in the Military and Para-military Organizations in Nigeria.

It’s Citizens collective responsibility to support them whatever way possible, who no fault of their own, are killed, wounded on active duties.
These children fathers are viticms of insurgency, Boko Haram, Iswap, banditry, Ipob, militants, herders/farmers clashes, criminalities, etc.
Today’s children day celebration is an occasion to educate Nigerians on the issues of concerns to mobilize political will and resources to address Nigerians children problems.
According to the First Lady of the federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs, Oluremi Tinubu, 2024 children’s day celebration, she appealed for more love, care and compassion for children, she described children as sources of immense joy who need to be given more love, care and compassion by parents and guardians, we should always remember that the children of the Fallen Heroes has no fathers, it is our responsibilities to love, care, and show compassion towards these vulnerable in our society.
Loving, caring and showing compassion required collective responsibility, it’s with this honest compassion for the children of the fallen Heroes that the Centre is concern.
According to the Centre’s boss, Gen. Cecil Esekhiagbe (Rtd) said, We most do all we can to extend our hands in times of need to these children who their bread winners sacrifices each day to provide that freedom and security which we enjoy today, it can never be enough to show gratitude to the children of the defenders.
Esekhiagbe commends Senator Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, first Lady of the federal republic of Nigeria and other well meaning Nigerians to do more for the Children of the Fallen Heroes.
The Centre is working and focusing on a special efforts to reduce the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children of the Fallen Heroes everywhere in Nigeria and we will continue to place a high premium on the welfare and wellbeing on the children of the Fallen Heroes in the Nigeria military and para-military organizations.
