First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Honored with Chieftaincy Title in Enugu

By Kayode Adeyemo /LAGOS// In a colorful and culturally rich ceremony held in Enugu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was conferred with a new chieftaincy title: Ugosimba 1 of Enugu. The title, which translates to “Jewel of Women Empowerment,” was bestowed upon her in recognition of her unwavering commitment to uplifting women across the country.

Senator Tinubu has long been an advocate for women’s rights and empowerment. Through her Renewed Hope Initiative, she has launched several programs aimed at supporting women-owned businesses, promoting girls’ education, and providing healthcare and social support to vulnerable groups.

The chieftaincy title of Ugosimba is not just symbolic, it is a recognition of action. By honoring her, the people of Enugu highlight the importance of leadership that listens, serves, and uplifts.
