By Morris Nor// Abuja — A 25-year-old street boy named Ridwan Balogun has been rescued from a life of social vices and homelessness, thanks to the intervention of Hon. Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli (Mr. Nigeria), a former chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, founder of the STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST MEN PROJECT (SVAMP)-Africa and convener of the VAPP Law Awareness Project.

The young man, who had been disowned by his father over what is likely to be termed as his youthful exhuberance taken too far hence lived on the streets of Abuja for about two years, was taken under Alli’s care after soliciting help.

Through the support of the Abdul Lateef Olatunji (ALO) Alli Memorial Foundation, Alli provided his feeding, temporary accommodation, and spiritual guidance before securing long-term solutions.

Alli’s frantic efforts of taking him off the streets eventually paid off when he approaches the management of SEARS SECURITY SERVICES LTD Abuja with a request to offer Ridwan a security job opportunity since that was the only noble job experience he has, haven worked in a similar security firm in the past. He as well sought collaboration with the security firm to see see that the young man is finally re-integrated back to his family circles, regain healthy relationship with his parents especially his very disciplined father who was so displeased with his unbecoming characters and his elder sisters one of them who is a graduate working in Abuja after completing her Youth Service Scheme, a testament to the father’s love for education and proper moral upbringing.

This request was granted by Hajia Bilkees Bimpe Lawal, the General Manager of the Company, who, after speaking with Ridwan’s mother, assured her of the company’s willingness to join “Mr. Nigeria “ in the fight to take the young man off the street by first offering him a job.

With the collaboration of Sears Security Services, led by CEO Hajia Fatima Binta Sulaiman, the young man has now been employed as a security officer under the direct supervision of the team’s Provost, Mallam Ibrahim Yakubu (aka Suleja) with special requests for continuous prayer sessions through the help of Mallam Habeeb, the Murshid of the NationalMosque, Abuja.

The firm has also committed to providing him with three daily meals and a structured lifestyle while maintaining communication with his previously estranged parents.

“This is another victory for social justice and proof that no life is beyond redemption,” Alli said, appreciating Sears Security for “taking over the responsibilities from where we stopped.”

The rescued youth has since reunited with his family and begun his rehabilitation journey, marking a major success for SVAMP-Africa, the VAPP Awareness Project, the ALO Alli Memorial Foundation and the touching lives programs of the grassroots politician, Hon.Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli (Mr.Nigeria) who is also the founder of the Project for Sanitising the Online Lending Ecosystem, a campaign charged with the responsibility of Protecting Consumers, Exposing Abusers and Restoring Digital Financial Integrity.
