By Kayode Adeyemo / Lagos // The Convener of Anti-Drug Impact Foundation, Olayiwola Ibrahim, who doubles as an investigative journalist, has called for enhanced parenting education following a viral video of students from Excel College engaging in unacceptable behavior.

Ibrahim commended the whistleblower for bringing the issue to light and stressed the importance of community involvement in security matters.

The Convener urged the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Commissioner for Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolami Ali, to prohibit out-of-school signing events in schools and hotels.

He also advocated for strict measures against students and minors found wearing school uniforms during school hours engaging in activities like snooker board games and betting.

According to him, he enjoined all parents, stakeholders, religious leaders and community leaders to be vigilant and also to report any black spots to the necessary agencies, noting that when you see something, say something.

Ibrahim praised the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) National Publicity Officer, Mr. Femi Babafemi, for his proactive efforts in combating drug abuse and addiction.

He also appreciated the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, and the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, for their swift response to the viral video incident.

The Anti-Drug Impact Foundation aims to bridge the gap between the government, masses, and stakeholders through campaigns, sensitization programs, and educational lectures on drug abuse, addiction, and trafficking.

Ibrahim appealed to stakeholders to support the foundation’s efforts through donations.
