POLICE NAB ‘ONE CHANCE ROBBERS’ IN ABUJA The Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
By Morris Nor// Police Command has arrested four men — Solomon Tanko, Samuel Audu, Chigozie Joseph, and Emmanuel Chidiebere — for their involvement in a one-chance robbery and attempted kidnapping.
According to Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects were captured in Dape Village after a confrontation with officers following a distress call from an abducted victim on October 8, 2025. Two victims were rescued during the operation, one of whom suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Gwarinpa General Hospital.
Investigations revealed that the gang had been carrying out one-chance robberies in the Bannex and Kado areas, using a tinted vehicle to lure passengers. Police recovered 15 international passports, daggers, cutlasses, bloodstained documents, phones, and other items from them.
The suspects will be charged in court after investigations, while the FCT Commissioner of Police praised the officers’ swift response and urged residents to report crimes promptly.
