Ondo Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM) Set for State Convention, Held State General Meeting
By Morris Nor The announcement was made at the State General Meeting of Ondo State Niger Delta Youth Movement, widely attended by 1763 youths across Ilaje and Ese-Odo LGAs held on 26th October 2025, presided by Comrade Omoseebi Syvester, the Acting State Chairman. In his opening remark, the Acting Chairman appealed for calm and assured stakeholders of a free, fair, and credible election and appreciate the members for massive turnout.
He clarified that Section 11, sub-section d of the NDYM Constitution explicitly extol the power of the State General Meeting (Congress) and read in part, “…deals with matters arising and affecting the state in particular and the movement as a whole. It shall approve, amend, add to, or reject any proposal or decision of the State Executive. It shall elect state delegates for the National Convention once every four years……..”
The Acting Chairman, Comrade Omoseibi also announced plans to revalidate membership records through the deployment of ICT-based platforms to ensure convenience, cost-effectiveness, and wider coverage. He urged each constituency to prepare adequately for the upcoming State Convention and assured stakeholders of an inclusive process.
The Congress leader, Comrade Erejuwa Eniola, while addressing the house, presented the letter jointly signed by the National President- Comr. Ekene Major Frank and National Secretary: comrade Ediagbonyan Joshua with the title, “ Notice of Election” and it was read at the floor of meeting, In line with NDYM Constitution, the president has appointed a 3-man delegate that will work with Local organizing committee (LOC).The National Delegation has contained in the letter will be headed by Comrade Enefiok Inyang (Chairman), with Comrade Samuel and Comrade Kingsley Okere.
This committee is to work in close collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) from the state to ensure a smooth and transparent exercise. Accordingly, the Congress broke into sections to elect and nominate a representative for the three constituencies and reconvened to announce as follows:
Barr. Akeke Tari – Ese-Odo Constituency Representative
Barr. Ibukun Ojujuni – Ilaje Constituency II Representative
Comrade Omosuyi Simon A – Ilaje Constituency I Representative
Comrade Erejuwa Adebayo- representing outgoing executives
This was concluded with the swearing-in of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) members by Barr. Ajele Sehinde. LOC will work with the national team to conduct the forthcoming State Convention.
