Newly appointed Minister of Lands, Hon. Jappie Mtuwa Mhango wasted no time assuming his official duties reporting to the ministry on Monday just a day after being sworn into office.
During his first engagement with management and staff, Mhango called on all officers to uphold professionalism, integrity and a strong work ethic.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing national development over politics, saying this approach would help create a productive and inclusive working environment for everyone.
“The President, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, is a leader for all Malawians.
“Let us focus on building the reputation of this ministry so that the public can have confidence and trust in our work,” he stated.
Representing the ministry’s staff, Commissioner for Physical Planning, Robin Lukas, welcomed the Minister and pledged full cooperation and support in achieving the ministry’s goals.
Hon. Mhango was among several Ministers and Deputy Ministers who took the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony held on Sunday at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
