General Abdullahi Adangba Passes On
By Morris Nor// Major General Abdullahi Mohammed (Rtd) (Adangba), former Chief of Staff to Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, has passed away.
At the early hours of today, this patriotic Nigerian and distinguished Kwaran bid farewell to the world, answering the supreme call of Almighty Allah.
The late General Abdullahi Mohammed served Nigeria in various capacities, including:
– Chief of Staff to Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo (1999-2007) and Umaru Musa Yar’adua (2007-2008)
– National Security Adviser to General Abdulsalami Abubakar (1998-1999)
– Director General of the National Security Organization (1976-1979) during the military administration of General Olusegun Obasanjo
– Governor of Benue-Plateau State (July 1975-February 1976)
Born in 1939, Major General Abdullahi Mohammed passed away at the age of 86 at early hours of today, Wednesday, 5th November, 2025.
