BREAKING: MASS EXODUS HITS KWARA APC AS SCORES DUMP PARTY FOR PDP IN KAIAMA

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State on Wednesday suffered another major setback as scores of its members in Kaiama Local Government dumped the party and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defectors, led by Comrade Abdullahi Aliyu, hailed from various polling units across Kaiama Local Government Area.

In a jointly signed letter of resignation, the aggrieved members cited the failure of the Otoge government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to fulfill promises made to the people of Kaiama as the major reason behind their decision to leave the party.

They accused the AbdulRazaq-led administration of running what they described as a Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop style of governance, lamenting widespread marginalization, insincerity, and lack of inclusiveness in the affairs of both the party and the state government.

Leading the defectors to the PDP, Comrade Abdullahi Aliyu declared that there is no longer a future for the people of Kwara in the APC, stressing that they have chosen to align with the PDP a party he described as a symbol of inclusiveness, fairness, and development-oriented politics.

The new PDP members were warmly received into the party by the immediate past State Youth Leader and current Director of Youth Mobilization, Hon. Mohammed Abdulmumeen, alongside the Kaiama Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Adamu Babangida, and the LG Secretary, Mohammed Abdulazeez as well as other stakeholders such as Hon Bukar yusuf , Hajia Aminat Mohammed , the LG PDP’s women leader
