DISTINGUISHED LEGAL PROFESSIONAL, MRS AKINNAWO HUSSEINA IZE, BOWS OUT AT 60

By Olayiwola Ibrahim / Lagos // The legal community is set to celebrate the life and achievements of Mrs. Akinnawo Husseina Ize, a renowned legal expert, who is marking her 60th birthday and statutory retirement on December 14, 2025.

Mrs. Akinnawo, a seasoned lawyer, was born on December 6, 1965, and has dedicated her career to justice administration in Lagos State.

Under the purview of Lagos State Public Advice Center, Ministry of Justice PAC, she has proved her strength beyond doubt by leading with an exemplary of good governance, characterized with simplicity and care for humanity.

Her educational background includes a LL.B. Honours degree from Ahmadu Bello University (1988), a B.L. Honours from the Nigerian Law School (1989), and a LL.M. from the University of Lagos (1992).

With over 30 years of service, Mrs. Akinnawo has held various positions within the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, including Directorates of Commercial Law, Public Complaints Centre, and Public Advice Centre, which she headed until her retirement.

A Chartered Mediator and Councillor, Mrs. Akinnawo is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and International Bar Association.

According to report, Mrs Uwaifo, a complainants gave her remarkable experience with Mrs. Akinnawo, says she will forever be grateful to God through her.

She said that Mrs Akinnawo has been a life changer through her effort and the Ministry of Justice, Public Advice Center PAC.

In another encounter with one complainant who also said she stood firmly in helping him regain his health during his difficulties time. He prayed that may she enjoins the rest of her life in peace and good health.

Her contributions to justice administration in Lagos State have been significant.

As she celebrates her milestone birthday and retirement, Mrs. Akinnawo’s colleagues, friends, and family will gather at the RCCG Lagos Province 27 Fountain of Life Sanctuary, Israel Adebajo Close, Off Ladipo Oluwole Street, Ogba Ikeja, on December 14, 2025, at 11:30 am to mark this significant occasion.
