Gov. Yusuf Felicitates with Premier Radio 102.7 on 4th Anniversary
By Morris Nor// The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has felicitated with Premier Radio on the occasion of its 4th anniversary.
He describe the station as a reputable, professional, and people-focused broadcast organisation contributing significantly to public enlightenment and good governance in Kano State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Sunday.
Governor Yusuf praised Premier Radio for its commitment to ethical journalism, accuracy, and balanced reportage, noting that the station has consistently maintained editorial independence and fairness in its programming.
He said Premier Radio has earned public trust by providing unbiased news coverage, giving equal opportunity to diverse opinions, and upholding the principles of objectivity and responsibility in broadcasting.
The Governor noted that the station has played a vital role in promoting peace, unity, and informed public discourse, while serving as a reliable platform for citizens’ engagement without political, ethnic, or sectional bias.
Governor Yusuf also congratulated the Chairman of the station, Malam Abba Dabo, for his visionary leadership and sustained investment in credible journalism.
He commended Malam Abba Dabo for creating a meaningful post-retirement engagement after a distinguished career as an ace journalist, describing his continued service to the media sector as patriotic and exemplary.
The Governor further acknowledged the Chairman’s dedication to mentoring young journalists, building professional capacity, and fostering a culture of integrity within the broadcast industry.
Governor Yusuf wished Premier Radio continued growth, relevance, and impact, while reaffirming the Kano State Government’s support for media organisations that promote truth, accountability, and the public interest.
