KANO POLICE ARRESTS NOTORIOUS DRUG DEALER, RECOVERS 5 BAGS AND 297 PARCELS OF SUSPECTED CANNABIS SATIVA

The Kano State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat drug trafficking and illicit activities in the State. In a follow-up investigation on the arrest of suspected armed robbers, on 15th December 2025, operatives of the Command’s Special Intervention Squad (SIS) arrested a suspected notorious drug dealer, Ibrahim Mohammed, ‘m’, of Rijiyar Zaki Quarters, Kano State.

 

The suspect was found in possession of five (5) bags and two hundred and ninety-seven (297) parcels of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa. Discreet investigation is ongoing and efforts are underway to apprehend his accomplices and recover more exhibits.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, has commended the operatives for their dedication and bravery in making this arrest. He has also directed that the investigation be concluded promptly to ensure that the suspect and his accomplices face the full weight of the law.
