Court temporarily halts incest case in Thyolo

A Resident Magistrate at the Thyolo Magistrate’s Court, Ellen Bulla has temporarily suspended proceedings in a case involving a 60 year old man accused of incest.

The accused, James Fenason Kolokosa is facing charges related to alleged sexual relations within the family in Thyolo District.

According to state prosecutors, represented by Editor Kansasi, the suspect is alleged to have been engaging in sexual relations with his biological mother, Aida London, who is 92 years old, since January 2024.

When he appeared before the court, Kolokosa, who hails from Manthimba Village under Traditional Authority Khwethemule in Thyolo, denied the allegations.

Magistrate Bulla has since referred the matter to the Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court, where the case will continue to be heard.
