NATIONAL SECURITY: CP Sani-Omolori Plays Host to Regular Course 7 Officers, Emphasizes Discipline and Dedication to Service

By Morris Nor// The Bauchi State Police Command, on Monday, 6th January 2026, received the newly passed out Police officers (members of 7th Regular Course) from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

The officers are expected to undergo one-year probation which is designed to expose them to core practical policing responsibilities and to enhance their operational understanding of law enforcement. Upon successful completion of the period, the officers will be confirmed as substantive Assistant Superintendents of Police.

While addressing the officers, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc (+), mni, urged them to remain disciplined, dedicated to service, and focused on practical policing activities that will adequately prepare them for their future roles as seasoned police officers.

Furthermore, the CP disclosed that the deployment of the officers to their states of origin in line with the vision of the 22nd Indigenous Inspector-General of Police, *IGP Kayode Egbetokun, NPM,* aimed at actualizing the community-based policing initiative. This initiative is intended to effectively address contemporary security challenges across the country.

Consequently, the Commissioner of Police directed that the officers be posted within the Bauchi metropolis for their probationary period.
