LASTMA LAUNCHES PROBE INTO N100,000 EXTORTION
By Olayiwiola Ibrahim // The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has initiated a full-scale investigation into allegations that its officers extorted ₦100,000 from commercial bus drivers on Coastal Road.
The claim, made by an individual identified as Tosin on social media, sparked swift action from LASTMA management, who assured the public of a thorough and impartial inquiry.
Any officer found guilty will face disciplinary action.
LASTMA is urging Tosin to come forward with evidence to support his allegations at the Office of the General Manager, LASTMA Headquarters, Oshodi.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and professionalism, encouraging the public to report any misconduct through official channels.
