Fresh details have emerged on the kidnapping of school pupils in Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where two teachers and an okada rider were also killed.

The Oyo State Police Command says investigators were able to track down some suspects after discovering that they were allegedly communicating with the kidnappers through phone calls during and after the attack.

According to the police, these conversations helped the criminals plan their movement through the National Park and find safe routes and hideouts after carrying out the operation.

So far, no fewer than six suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody, assisting security agencies with ongoing investigations.

Police spokesperson, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed that the arrests were made during a joint security operation involving the Police, Nigerian Army, Amotekun, NSCDC, and Agro Rangers.
