BREAKING: OYO GOVERNMENT DEMOLISHES BUILDING LINKED TO ADELUBU FAMILY KIDNAP CASE IN IBADAN
By Olayiwiola Ibrahim // The Oyo State Government has pulled down a three-bedroom bungalow in Lako Community, along Aiyegun-Anaye Road, Ibadan.
The building was allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu and her two children.
The demolition was carried out on Monday by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation.
Officers of the Nigeria Police Force were also on ground as part of the state’s ongoing crackdown on kidnapping and other criminal activities.
The victims, Mrs. Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were kidnapped at Elewura, Challenge area of Ibadan on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
According to the state government, the action reflects its firm commitment to tackling insecurity and dismantling criminal networks operating within Oyo State.
