By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art (YSMA), Pan-Atlantic University, is delighted to announce that entry into the museum is now free for all visitors.

Effective from June 15, 2026, this initiative marks a significant moment in the museum’s history and positions YSMA among the few cultural institutions in Nigeria offering unrestricted public access to its collections and programmes.

This achievement has been made possible through the generous support of renowned art collectors and philanthropists, Aisha and Gbenga Oyebode, who have committed to funding the programme for an initial period of three years.

Mr. Oyebode also serves as a member of the YSMA Museum Advisory Board.

The introduction of free admission reflects YSMA’s continuous commitment to making art and culture accessible to a wider audience.

For YSMA, this initiative is a contribution to cultural inclusion: it reinforces the museum’s founding belief that art should educate, inspire, and serve society, while ensuring that access to creativity and heritage is available to all.

The initiative is expected to encourage more visitor participation and further establish the museum as a leading cultural destination within Lagos and Nigeria.

As we begin this new chapter, we invite everyone to visit, explore, learn, and be inspired.

Whether it is your first visit or your tenth, there has never been a better time to experience the museum.
