HOUSE SUMMONS NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER OVER ALLEGED FAKE AGENCY
The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee investigating the alleged Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has invited the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to appear before it.
The invitation follows a statement by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs distancing the Federal Government from the council and declaring that its purported Director-General is not recognised.
Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee, Representative Yusuf Mikhail Adamu, said the committee is determined to uncover the truth surrounding the operations of the alleged council and ascertain whether it had any official approval.
He noted that the appearance of the National Security Adviser would help clarify issues relating to national security, government authorisation and the activities of the organisation.
The committee reaffirmed its commitment to carrying out a thorough and transparent investigation, assuring Nigerians that anyone found culpable would be held accountable in accordance with the law.
