The Progressive Institute Partners Jagaban Support Group To Empower 2 Million Nigerian Youths

The Intellectual Resource Center of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, the Progressive Institute, TPI in collaboration with the foremost socio-political support group for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Jagaban Support Group, JSG has formalized the arrangement that would empower two million Nigerians youths.

The project tagged Skill Acquisition Program in Support of President Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda is expected to empower young Nigerians with various skills that can be used to make them live a fulfilled life.

Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of APC describes the 2 Million Skills Empowerment Programme for Nigerian youths and women as the kind of innovation the APC needs at the grassroots. The National Chairman who welcome the initiative during a meeting at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja added that the 2 Million Training Programme is “timely, strategic, and in full alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Jagaban Support Group, JSG is the only support group in Nigeria that has come up with the concept of skills acquisition program. And we are giving them our support because this is in line with our party policy and the agenda programs of Mr. President’’.

Speaking during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding on the project, Director General of The Progressive Institute, TPI, Lanre Adebayo, PhD stated that the agreement establishes a framework for joint initiatives focused on advocacy, training, and policy engagement. Dr. Adebayo advised youths from across Nigeria to participate in the empowerment program, noting that they will not only be trained in various life changing skills but also be certified with certificate that can be used to start a new life. The TPI Director General added that a press conference to announce the commencement of the project will be held in a couple of days to come.

The National Coordinator of the Jagaban Support Group, JSG, Otunba Arc. Abimbola Olasanmiju describes the project as the contribution of his group towards uplifting more Nigerians from poverty in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda. He said that participants will be equipped with ICT, contents creation, artificial intelligence, AI, and other digital Skills, entrepreneurship, vocational training such as phone repair and maintainers, business & financial literacy, etc.

Otunba Olasanmiju added that participants will also access to starter packs, grants, mentorship, and business networks.
